Charte du testeur expert
Finish Line Media · 220BPM (220bpm.com)
Version in force since 18 October 2026
Article 1. Purpose
This charter sets out the rules applicable to expert testers of 220bpm.com (the "Website"), published by Finish Line Media ("FLM"). The tester accepts it before receiving their first pair of shoes. It supplements the Website's terms of use.
Article 2. Voluntary participation
Expert testers take part freely and on a voluntary basis. They choose the tests they accept, are not subject to any minimum number of tests and may stop at any time. There is no relationship of subordination between them and FLM.
Where a tester is also an employee or service provider of FLM or Finishers SAS, their tests are carried out outside their assignments, unless their contract provides otherwise.
Article 3. The shoes
FLM offers the tester shoes to test, provided by brands or by FLM. The tester is free to accept or refuse.
Unless otherwise stated in writing when the shoes are sent, the pair remains the tester's property after the test. Where the brand requests its return, FLM specifies this when making the offer: the tester then returns the pair at the end of the test, at FLM's expense.
If the tester does not carry out the agreed test without good reason, FLM may ask them to return the pair.
Article 4. The test
The tester wears the shoe in real training or race conditions, over the distance and within the time indicated in the offer. They then publish their test on the Website, using the Website's rating criteria, with at least one photo taken by them.
If they cannot carry out the test within the agreed time, they inform FLM as soon as possible.
Article 5. Independence of opinion
The tester is entirely free in their opinion and ratings. Neither FLM nor the brand approves the content or rating of a test, and no positive review is expected. FLM only checks the test against the Website's publication rules.
The test is published with the label "Shoe provided".
Article 6. Transparency on social media
If the tester talks on their own social media about a shoe received in this context, they clearly disclose it, for example with the notice "Product provided by [brand] via 220BPM". If they also receive consideration for that post, they apply the rules of the French law of 9 June 2023 on commercial influence, in particular the notice "Advertisement" or "Commercial collaboration".
Article 7. Conflicts of interest
The tester informs FLM of any connection with a shoe brand or retailer, in particular if they are an employee, ambassador or partner. They do not test the products of a brand with which they have such a connection.
Article 8. Content and image
The tester's tests and photos are subject to the licence provided for in article 4 of the Website's terms of use. Where the tester appears in their own photos, they authorise FLM to distribute them with their test, under the same conditions.
Article 9. Benefits received
Pairs kept constitute a benefit in kind. The tester is responsible for their own reporting obligations in this respect. For employees of FLM or Finishers SAS, their treatment follows the rules applicable within the company.
Article 10. End of status
The tester may give up their status at any time by writing to contact@220bpm.com. Expert tester status is not an acquired right: FLM may, at any time and at its sole discretion, end it or return the tester to community tester status, without compensation. It informs the tester in writing. This is the case in particular in the event of a breach of this charter or the Website's terms of use, such as a fake test or an undisclosed conflict of interest. Pairs already received remain the tester's property, unless their return was stipulated when they were sent.
Article 11. Governing law
This charter is governed by French law. Disputes are settled in accordance with article 13 of the Website's terms of use. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
