3. Who receives your data
Your data is only accessible to the Finish Line Media staff who need it, and to the technical teams of its parent company Finishers SAS, which develop and maintain the website. It is not shared with the group's other websites without your consent.
We use the following service providers, who act on our instructions under a GDPR-compliant contract:
| Provider | Role | Data location |
|---|---|---|
| Brevo | Newsletter delivery | European Union |
| Vercel Inc. | Website hosting, performance measurement | United States |
| Sentry | Technical error monitoring | United States |
| Cloudinary | Delivery of the website's images (no personal data stored) | Global delivery network |
| Plausible | Cookie-free audience measurement | European Union |
Where data is transferred outside the European Union, the transfer is governed by the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can obtain information on these safeguards by writing to privacy@triathlons.com.
We may also disclose your data to administrative or judicial authorities where required by law.
4. Cookies and third-party content
triathlons.com itself does not set any advertising or audience measurement cookies: our analytics tool works without cookies. Only cookies strictly necessary for the website to function may be used. They do not require your consent.
Some articles include content hosted by third parties, in particular YouTube videos (Google) and Instagram posts (Meta). When you view a page containing such content, it is loaded from these services' servers. They then receive technical information, such as your IP address and the address of the page viewed, and may set their own cookies. These services process this data in accordance with their own privacy policies: policies.google.com/privacy for Google and privacycenter.instagram.com/policy for Instagram.
You can block these cookies by configuring your browser to refuse third-party cookies. Embedded content may then no longer display correctly. We are putting in place a mechanism that will display this content only after you have given your consent.
The website may contain links to merchant websites, some of which are affiliate links. When you click on one of these links, the merchant website or the affiliate platform concerned may set its own cookies, under its own responsibility, to attribute any purchase.
Links to our social media accounts are simple links: they do not send any data to these networks unless you click on them.
5. Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights over your data:
- access: knowing what data we hold and obtaining a copy;
- rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erasure, in the cases provided for by law;
- restriction of processing, for example while a dispute is being checked;
- objection to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- portability of the data you have provided to us on the basis of your consent;
- withdrawal of your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- setting instructions regarding what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to privacy@triathlons.com. We will reply within one month, which may be extended by two months for complex requests. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask you for proof.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or online at cnil.fr.
6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access restricted to authorised persons only, and use of service providers offering sufficient security guarantees.
7. Updates
We may amend this policy, in particular to reflect changes to the website or to the regulations. The effective date of the current version is shown at the top of this page, and previous versions remain available. In the event of a significant change, we will inform you by appropriate means.
