Version in force since 13 October 2026
Article 1. Organiser
The competitions governed by these rules are organised by Finish Line Media, a French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) with a share capital of 1,000 euros, registered with the Lyon Trade and Companies Register under number 998 982 763, whose registered office is located at 20 rue Lortet, 69007 Lyon, France ("FLM"), publisher of the media marathons.com, mytrails.com, triathlons.com and stadion.com, and of the platform 220bpm.com.
A competition may be organised in partnership with a brand or an event organiser (the "Partner"), named in the specific conditions of the competition. Unless otherwise stated in these specific conditions, FLM remains the sole organiser of the competition.
Article 2. Scope
These general rules apply to all competitions organised by FLM, on Instagram, on Facebook, on a dedicated web page or by means of a form at a trade fair or event. Each competition is announced with specific conditions, which may be limited to a description of the prize. In the event of any inconsistency, the specific conditions prevail over these rules. On any point they do not specify, the following default rules apply:
- the competition starts when it is published and ends on the date indicated or, failing that, seven days after its publication, at 11:59 pm Paris time;
- to enter, participants must follow the account of the organising media and, where applicable, that of the Partner, like the competition post and comment on it;
- the entry and delivery area is mainland France;
- each prize described is awarded to one winner;
- prizes are delivered by FLM;
- the indicative value of the prizes is provided on request.
Article 3. Platforms
Competitions organised on Instagram or Facebook are in no way organised, sponsored, administered or associated with Meta Platforms, Instagram or Facebook, which cannot be held liable for how they are run. Participants release these platforms from any liability in this respect. Data provided in the context of a competition is provided to FLM and not to these platforms.
Article 4. Conditions of entry
The competition is open to any natural person with a personal account on the platform concerned or a valid e-mail address, and residing in the geographical area specified in the specific conditions. Employees and staff of FLM, Finishers SAS and the Partner may interact with the competition posts, but may not be selected as winners. If one of them is drawn, another winner is selected (article 7).
A minor participant must have obtained the authorisation of their legal guardian. Before awarding a prize, FLM may ask any winner for proof of identity, age, residence or parental authorisation. If no proof is provided within the time indicated, the winner loses the benefit of the prize (article 7).
Where a prize is subject to an age requirement or other conditions, in particular a race bib, only participants meeting these conditions may be awarded it (article 8).
Only one entry per person is accepted, regardless of the number of accounts or addresses used, unless otherwise stated in the specific conditions.
Article 5. Free entry
Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. It is never conditional on subscribing to a newsletter or agreeing to receive commercial offers, which remains optional and subject to separate consent.
Article 6. How to enter
The entry mechanism of each competition is described in its specific conditions: for example following an account, liking a post, commenting on it while tagging a friend, or completing a form. Only entries complying with this mechanism, made during the competition period and from a public account or a valid address, are taken into account. Participants must still meet the conditions of the competition at the time of the draw, in particular still be following the accounts concerned. A comment deleted before the draw is not taken into account.
FLM may exclude, without notice, any fraudulent entry or entry contrary to these rules, in particular the use of multiple accounts, fake accounts, bots or any automated process, as well as offensive, discriminatory or unlawful comments.
Article 7. Selection and notification of winners
Unless otherwise stated in the specific conditions, winners are selected by random draw among valid entries, on the date indicated in the specific conditions or, failing that, within a reasonable period after the end of the competition. The draw may also select reserves. FLM keeps a record of this draw.
Winners are notified by private message sent from the official account of the media concerned, or by e-mail. Their username may be announced publicly, in a comment or story.
FLM will never ask a winner to pay any fees, provide their bank details or click on an external link to receive their prize. Any such message from an account impersonating FLM is fraudulent.
The winner has the period indicated in the message, or failing that 7 days, to reply and provide complete and accurate information. Failing this, they lose the benefit of the prize. Where a winner loses the benefit of their prize, for any reason, FLM may, at its discretion, award it to a reserve, hold a new draw among valid entries or retain the prize.
Article 8. Prizes
Prizes are described in the specific conditions of each competition. They are personal, may not be exchanged, transferred or converted into cash, and give rise to no compensation if refused. Their value is determined on the date the specific conditions are drafted. FLM may replace a prize that has become unavailable with a prize of equivalent value.
Unless otherwise stated in the specific conditions, prizes are sent by FLM to the address provided by the winner, provided that it is located in the delivery area set out in those conditions or, failing that, in mainland France. FLM may, without being obliged to do so, accept delivery to another country. Any customs duties and local taxes are then borne by the winner. A winner who cannot provide an address in the delivery area loses the benefit of the prize (article 7). A prize returned to FLM, in particular due to an incorrect address or an uncollected parcel, is permanently forfeited by the winner. Where a prize is delivered directly by the Partner, the Partner is solely responsible for it.
Prizes consisting of a race bib. Where the prize is an entry to a sporting event, the winner must meet all the conditions set by the event rules, in particular regarding age, medical certificate or licence, and complete their registration within the period indicated by FLM. Failing this, they lose the benefit of the prize. The bib only covers the entry: travel, accommodation and any other services remain at the winner's expense. The bib may only be transferred to a third party if the event organiser allows it. The winner takes part in the event at their own risk. If the event is cancelled or postponed, the rules set by its organiser apply, without any compensation from FLM.
Article 9. Personal data
FLM is the controller of the personal data processing carried out in connection with the competitions. It processes participants' usernames and comments, the e-mail address and name entered in a form, and, for winners, the contact details needed to deliver the prize. For a race bib, this means the information required by the event organiser for registration.
This data is processed to run the competition, select the winners, deliver the prizes and keep proof that the competition was properly run, on the basis of the performance of these rules. It is only shared with the FLM staff in charge of the competition, its technical service providers and, for winners only, the Partner or the event organiser where necessary to deliver the prize.
Data of non-winning participants is deleted no later than three months after the end of the competition, except for the list of participants appearing on the draw certificate, which is kept for one year as proof. Winners' data is kept until the prize has been delivered, then for one year as proof.
Subscribing to an FLM newsletter, or agreeing to be contacted by the Partner, is never a condition of entry. It is based on separate consent, given by ticking an unticked box, which can only be given alone from the age of 15, and can be withdrawn at any time.
Each participant has the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of their data, which they can exercise at the address indicated in the privacy policy of the media concerned, or failing that at privacy@finishers.com. A request for erasure before the end of the competition amounts to withdrawal from it. Participants may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL). The privacy policy of the media concerned provides further information.
Article 10. Image and publication of winners
By entering, winners agree that their username may be published to announce the results. Any other use of their image, in particular a photo with their prize, requires their prior express consent.
Article 11. Liability
FLM cannot be held liable for malfunctions of the platforms, the internet or postal services, for the loss of or damage to a prize in transit, for defects in a prize, which fall under the warranty of its manufacturer or the Partner, for the cancellation, postponement or modification of a sporting event, or for any damage resulting from the use of a prize or from taking part in an event. It is only liable for its own faults.
Article 12. Modification and cancellation
FLM may extend, shorten, modify or cancel a competition in the event of force majeure, fraud, technical failure, withdrawal of the Partner or any other circumstance beyond its control, without incurring any liability. Participants are informed through the same channel as the announcement of the competition. Any situation not provided for by these rules or by the specific conditions is decided by FLM, in keeping with the spirit of the competition.
Article 13. Access to the rules
These general rules are available free of charge at legal.finishers.com. The specific conditions of each competition are published with its announcement. A copy may be obtained free of charge on request sent to the contact@ address of the media concerned.
Article 14. Governing law and complaints
These rules are governed by French law. Any complaint must be sent in writing to FLM, where possible within one month of the end of the competition concerned, so that it can be examined. Failing an amicable settlement, the dispute is brought before the competent court under ordinary rules.
